What these certifications mean for you
Regulation and safety
In the UK, anyone using the title chiropractor must be registered with the General Chiropractic Council. Registration means a practitioner has completed approved training, holds insurance, follows a code of conduct and keeps their skills up to date through continuing professional development every year.
Fellowship of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association
Fellowship is the highest level of membership awarded by the McTimoney Chiropractic Association. It is given by nomination from peers in recognition of outstanding service to the profession, to patients and to the wider community. Aarti received her Fellowship in 2019, alongside a 30-year service award.
Complementary therapy certifications
Alongside McTimoney chiropractic, Aarti holds certifications in Reiki and Shamanic Energy Healing, and also offers colour therapy and aromatherapy. These complementary approaches are always offered alongside, and never instead of, appropriate medical advice.
Ongoing learning
Certifications are only part of the story. Aarti continues to attend courses, conferences and association meetings, and she has served on the association’s Executive Committee. This commitment to learning means clients benefit from up-to-date knowledge combined with decades of hands-on experience.

Checking a practitioner’s credentials
You can check any chiropractor’s registration yourself by searching the public register on the General Chiropractic Council website. It takes less than a minute and shows the practitioner’s name, registration number and any conditions on their practice. It is a simple step that gives you real peace of mind before your first appointment.
It is also worth asking how long a practitioner has been working, which technique they use and whether they belong to a professional association. Membership of an association usually means extra support, guidance and training opportunities, as well as a commitment to the association’s own standards of practice.
Aarti is always happy to talk about her training and experience. If you have any questions about her qualifications and certifications, or about whether McTimoney chiropractic is right for you, simply ask when you call or at your first visit. You will find answers to many common questions on the conditions treated page, and you can read about her clinic locations before you book.
Every certificate shown in the gallery above represents years of study, practice and commitment. Together they reflect a career built on learning, listening and caring for each client as an individual, and a promise that this commitment will continue for many years to come.
